About the event

About Jill:

Jill started rowing in grade 8 and has been coaching since age 16. She participated in the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta on several occasions winning 8 gold medals in the junior A and B categories in singles, doubles and quads. Jill was awarded the Booby Pearce Award for top female in Canada in her grade 11 year. She was a member of both the provincial and national junior development teams, winning a gold medal in Mexico while setting a course record time with her crew. Jill received over 20 offers of full ride rowing scholarships from schools like UCLA, CalBerkely and Duke. Jill chose to attend the University of Virginia and also rowed for the University of Western Ontario.
