Samantha Sigurdson BKin, CFST-2

Samantha graduated from the University of Fraser Valley in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. During this time, she discovered a keen interest in recovery and active rehabilitation.  Samantha believes in teaching proper technique to maximize strength, mobility, flexibility, coordination and functional ability.  So a natural choice given the core philosophy of Gravity.  She strongly

believes the whole body works as a system so it can adapt to different scenarios in day-to-day life.

Since graduating, Samantha has gone on to receive certification in Fascial Stretch Therapy (Levels 1 and 2), Soft Tissue Release and Kinetic Link Training.  She incorporates this post graduate course work into client rehabilitation when necessary.  When not at work, Samantha is an active member of the Port Moody community engaging in hot yoga, boxing condition and walking with her dog.

To find out more about FST, what it is, whom should do it, what the benefits are etc. then please read our short, informative blog article.

The best way to know if FST is right for you is to give it a try. There is nothing to lose and everything to gain – set it free with FST!

And best of all, there are various ways this might not cost you anything from your pay cheque:

ICBC – Kinesiology/Active Rehab type services are pre-approved for up to 12 sessions over 12 weeks/

WCB – Also has pre-approved periods

Employee Benefits may cover Kinesiology/FST:  It’s easy to check but many employers now cover these offerings as they do massage.  Also, many employers, especially in public sector, offer a Health Spending Account (HSA) within which employees can decide where to spend their allocation for active rehab/massage type therapies.  Please check with your plan provider/employer.
