Darren Radford

Founder | Handstand & Movement Coach 

Darren brings a rare combination of world-class business leadership and deep expertise in movement, strength, and health. As founder of Gravity Laboratory, his mission is simple: help people redefine their possible - in body, mind, and life. With a career spanning global boardrooms and elite training spaces, Darren bridges conversations about health, resilience, and high performance in both the corporate world and the gym.
 

On the movement side, Darren is among Canada’s most credentialed coaches. He is the only certified Stick Mobility Coach in B.C., an Animal Flow Instructor and Regional Leader for Western Canada, and a Certified Personal Trainer with specialist experience in rowing, calisthenics, kettlebells, sprint training, mobility, and hand balancing. A former national-level golfer, field hockey player, and competitive triathlete, he combines athletic credibility with technical coaching depth. Certified as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and through his own recovery from serious injury, Darren has built practical expertise in anatomy, recovery, and resilience.

 

Darren also brings decades of sport and community leadership: he has served as president of a rowing club, sat on national championship organizing committees, judged RBC Training Ground talent, and led Olympic-level testing events where local athletes earned Team Canada spots. His passion for bodyweight strength, handstands, and lifelong fitness makes him a trusted guide for clients of all ages, though he focuses primarily on those 35+, a group he considers underserved. 

 

With more than 20 years as a global management consultant, Darren has advised some of the world’s leading organizations, earning accolades such as the Hallmark Award for his leadership in Boeing’s $48B transformation program. He holds an Oxford MBA, a Law degree, and a Master’s in Leadership & Program Management. Today, he teaches Strategy, Project Management, and Innovation at university and serves as a TEC Canada CEO Chair and Board Advisor -balancing intellectual leadership with his love of movement.

Handstand & Calisthenics Coach | Olympian | Elite Athlete

Shallon Olsen is a multi-medal Canadian gymnast turned movement coach, now bringing her elite-level mastery to Gravity. A three-time Olympian (Athens 2016, Tokyo 2020, Paris 2024), she’s consistently ranked among the world’s best in gymnastics - earning silver at the 2018 World Championships and dominating Canada’s national titles since 2016.

At Gravity, Shallon channels her world-class gymnastics background into handstand and calisthenics training. She coaches everything from entries into a handstand to progressions for alignment, balance, and control - guiding clients toward freestanding two-arm holds, tuck and straddle variations, and eventually advanced skills like one-arm handstands. Her sessions combine drills, strength progressions, and mobility work, giving clients the tools to build precision, power, and confidence upside down. She also leads small-group calisthenics classes and works with private clients on strength and skill development.

Beyond her coaching, Shallon competed for the University of Alabama, contributing to their 2021 SEC Championship victory, and continues to inspire athletes with her resilience and passion for movement. She lives by her motto: “Don’t tell your dreams - show them.”

Keegan Trinh

Head of Calisthenics 

'Keegz' brings elite personal skill and proven coaching expertise to every session. A master of the discipline, he has achieved some of the most challenging bodyweight skills - including the front lever, back lever, planche, muscle-up and more. His own journey through progressive training gives him the ability to guide clients from foundations to advanced performance with precision, patience, and a relentless eye for detail.

 

At Gravity, Keegz leads our Calisthenics Skills Sessions and Small Group Private Training (SGPT) and has led our Saturday Handstand class since inception 2019.  in bodyweight-focused training. His coaching emphasizes calisthenics foundations - pull-ups, push-ups, dips, core control, and mobility - while steadily building toward advanced holds, dynamic transitions, and strength skills. His approach ensures clients not only gain power and control, but also resilience and confidence to push beyond perceived limits.

 

Keegz has worked with athletes of all levels, from beginners discovering bodyweight training for the first time to seasoned movers chasing high-level skills. His sessions are technical, challenging, and supportive - always anchored by his trademark coaching philosophy: “Do it again. But better.”

Head of Mobility | Kinstretch | Personal Trainer

Atena is our Head of Mobility/Flexibility and a coach with a reputation for immaculate form, precise movement mechanics, and a relentless focus on technique. A former competitive lifter, she brings the discipline and strength of her sport into every class and personal training session she leads.

 

While rooted in barbell and resistance training, Atena has expanded her coaching repertoire at Gravity to include Rowing, Calisthenics, and Mobility/Flexibility. She is Kinstretch FRMCs and Animal Flow L1 certified, and recently completed her 200-hour Pilates certification, making her one of the most versatile movement coaches in the region.

 

Her programming blends strength and mobility in equal measure - helping clients move better, lift stronger, and build durability that lasts.

 

Atena works with a wide cross-section of clients, from those learning foundational lifts to advanced movers chasing new performance ceilings. Her classes are structured, challenging, and empowering; her one-on-one coaching is renowned for attention to detail and technical mastery. Whether the goal is building strength, improving mobility, or mastering form, Atena’s philosophy is clear: strength and control are inseparable.

Peter Jung

Calisthenics  Coach | Personal Trainer

Peter is a competitive calisthenics athlete and coach whose personal journey is as inspiring as it is transformative. Once deconditioned and overweight, Peter rebuilt himself through discipline and bodyweight training into the classic Y-shaped, shredded physique calisthenics is known for. That experience fuels his coaching - he knows firsthand the challenges, setbacks, and victories clients face, and he brings empathy and precision to every session.

 

At Gravity, Peter leads bodyweight training classes and provides personal training rooted in calisthenics fundamentals. His coaching balances technical skill with strength, focusing on pull-ups, dips, core stability, and mobility as the foundations for advanced elements like muscle-ups, front and back levers, planche, and human flags. With an athlete’s mindset, he also emphasizes endurance, grip strength, injury prevention, and progressive overload—ensuring clients develop strength and skills in equal measure.

 

Peter embodies the artistry and athleticism of calisthenics. His sessions are structured yet adaptable, designed to push clients safely beyond their limits while building confidence, resilience, and control. Whether you’re working toward your first pull-up or refining advanced static holds, Peter’s coaching offers the roadmap and motivation to get there.

Assistant Manager | Strength & Performance Coach

Sam is one of our longest-serving coaches, having first joined through a kinesiology co-op placement at Simon Fraser University. Since then, he has grown into a versatile strength and conditioning coach with expertise across weightlifting, rowing, kettlebells, calisthenics, Stick Mobility, and FRC. His deep knowledge, coupled with years of hands-on experience, makes him a trusted coach for both group classes and a thriving roster of personal training clients.

 

At Gravity, Sam leads programs that blend strength, conditioning, and mobility to help clients build power, efficiency, and resilience. He is also the driving force behind our Youth Performance Coaching program, working with athletes aged 12–16 in private and small semi-private settings. His focus on foundational strength, injury prevention, and progressive skill development gives young athletes the tools to excel in their sport while building habits for lifelong fitness.

 

Sam is known for his approachable coaching style, technical precision, and ability to adapt programs to each client’s needs. Whether guiding adults through strength training or mentoring the next generation of athletes, his coaching reflects a simple philosophy: build strength, move well, and the performance will follow.

Zoran Jerkovic

Animal Flow Lead | Movement Coach

Zoran is Gravity’s Animal Flow Lead Coach and a Level 2 Certified Instructor, known for his dynamic teaching style and his notorious Animal Flow Tabata conditioning sessions. He specializes in helping clients build strength, mobility, and control through ground-based movement, with a particular focus on tuck balance training and seamless flow transitions.

 

Beyond Animal Flow, Zoran incorporates calisthenics, Kinstretch and handstand training into his own regimen, giving him a broad foundation in bodyweight strength and skill development. His sessions emphasize mindful movement and the connection between strength and mobility - helping clients unlock freedom, coordination, and resilience in their practice.

Senior Calisthenics Coach | Competitive Athlete

Jess has a lifelong passion for movement. She began her athletic journey in gymnastics at age six and has since evolved into a dedicated practitioner and coach of bodyweight strength and skill development.

 

Jess is a certified personal trainer with years of experience coaching one-on-one clients, group classes, and workshops both in-person and online. In 2022, she launched her competitive calisthenics career at The Callout Comp in New York City, and has continued to compete nationally and internationally.

 

At Gravity, Jess brings her expertise to calisthenics skills training, guiding clients from foundational strength to advanced freestyle elements. Known for her technical precision and inspiring coaching style, her mission is simple: to help others achieve skills they never thought possible.
