1.0 Membership - Terms & Conditions
1.1 CONTRACT
By joining Gravity Laboratory, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on a bi-weekly basis for your membership, for up to a maximum period of 12 months.
Your membership remains active and billed bi-weekly unless you notify us to cancel (see section 1.3 below) during this period.
After 12 months, a new billing authorization is required to continue your membership.

Memberships are non-transferable.

1.2 MEMBERSHIP PRICING AND BUILT-IN FLEXIBILITY
Your membership dues are calculated on the basis of 48 weeks per year, even though your membership provides access for the full 52 weeks of the year.
In practical terms, we take the annual cost of a 52-week membership, deduct the equivalent of four weeks, and then calculate your bi-weekly payments based on a 48-week year.
This pricing structure is intentional and designed to provide flexibility. It accounts for time away due to vacation, illness, or other personal commitments, without requiring you to manage your membership. You may attend throughout all 52 weeks of the year, even though you are only paying for 48 weeks.
In short: four weeks of non-attendance are already built into the pricing, so no additional adjustments, credits, or pauses are required.
1.3 CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP

You may cancel your membership at any time by notifying us through any reasonable method, including in person, by email, or by phone. There is no requirement to attend the facility in person in order to cancel.

We require 30 days’ notice of your intention to cancel. Your membership will remain active and billable during this notice period. If you do cancel, you will receive email confirmation.
​
At the time of sign-up, members commit to a minimum three-month (13-week) membership. Cancellation requests received before this minimum period has been completed will take effect once the minimum term has been satisfied and the required notice period has elapsed.
​If you cancel your membership and want to rejoin at a subsequent date, you will only be able to secure the memberships available at the time of rejoining (legacy memberships / rates previously experienced will have lapsed permanently).
If you cancel your membership and later choose to rejoin within six (6) months of your cancellation date, a re-activation administration fee equivalent to two months of membership dues (plus applicable taxes) will apply.

This policy exists to encourage continuity and to avoid unnecessary cancellations for short periods of time (such as brief travel or temporary schedule changes). As outlined above, membership pricing already includes built-in flexibility to accommodate time away without the need to cancel.

1.4 TEMPORARY HOLDS AND EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES:
We recognize that, on occasion, extenuating circumstances may prevent a member from fully utilizing their membership beyond the normal flexibility already built into our pricing. Where this occurs, we aim to be fair and reasonable.

​(i) For medical reasons, we may agree to temporarily suspend bi-weekly membership payments upon submission of appropriate documentation (e.g. letter from a physician or physical therapist) and subject to reasonable conditions. This may include injury, illness, or pregnancy that prevents the member from participating in exercise.
​
(ii) Where work commitments require a member to be away from the local area, members may exercise a one-time deferral of up to one month (30 days) during their 12-month term at no additional cost.
​
Members who choose to retain access to Gravity Laboratory programming, online resources, community channels (including WhatsApp), or remote training guidance while away will be required to maintain their membership dues during that period.
​
(iii) Should you relocate out of Province, the cancellation policy should be invoked.
1.5 RECURRING AUTO DUES
Recurring auto dues are charged every two weeks from the date of sign-up and cover your dues for the following two-week period. Payments are taken on an automatic basis. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure a valid credit card is associated with their account to allow for recurring auto payment.
1.6 ACCOUNTS:
If you maintain an account on this site, you are responsible for:
(i) providing accurate and updated account information;
(ii) maintaining the confidentiality of the account and password;
(iii) and for restricting access to your computer/device. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.
1.7 CLASS, PERSONAL TRAINING, THERAPEUTIC SERVICES CANCELLATIONS
Membership comes with credits for coach led training sessions and unlimited independent training time. Your coach led sessions are booked by your instance of the Gravity app. Cancellations of these sessions are accepted up to 12 hours prior to the session start time.
Any cancellations within 12 hours will result in you forfeiting the session credit (Class, Personal Training, and/or Therapeutic Services). Cancellations take effect immediately so others on the 'wait list' are notified of the cancellation and can book your cancelled spot for classes or that session will reopen for those wanting to secure Personal Training, or therapeutic sessions accordingly.
No-shows [do not cancel and do not show up for a scheduled class] may result in a fee of $25 where other members on the wait list were not able to attend as you did not cancel and free up the space.
Late cancel fees apply to ALL clients.

2.0 PRIVACY/PROTECTION:

2.1 CAMERA SURVEILLANCE:
​
Audio/Video (AV) security systems are installed internally in the studio and externally at the front and rear of the premises. AV surveillance operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week and can be accessed by staff at any time. Surveillance is processed primarily on the grounds of the safety and security of patrons/staff and the protection of property against damage and theft. Surveillance data is recorded and stored and can be accessed in case of a related incident or upon lawful request from official authorities (e.g. Police). Data is automatically overwritten within 72 hours.

2.2 PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO RELEASE:
Participants involved in any activities offered by Gravity Laboratory may be photographed or videotaped during training. Your membership terms include consent to the use of these photographs, audio and video content without compensation, on the Gravity Laboratory website or in any editorial, promotional or advertising material produced and/or published by Gravity Laboratory.
3.0 PROMOTIONS:

All offers or promotions advertised on this site or mobile app are subject to the posting of any official rules to such offers or promotions.
